Our easy-to-use inspection has been proven effective during an extensive pilot in detecting errors in electrical schematics at an early stage of the process. In over 60% of the inspected schematics, CAY’s system detected significant errors.
Currently our System inspects electrical schematics. In the future we plan to add another product for inspecting layout files.
Our system uses unique proprietary algorithms to automatically read and understand electrical components’ datasheets. That enables a much more comprehensive inspection compared to the DRC tools, and the inspection is fully automatic inspection and requires no manual insertion of data by the user except for the design files.
We cover a wide range of errors, relating to issues like connection instructions, voltages, logical levels and many more.
We are platform-agnostic and support all the leading CAD software: Mentor, Cadence, Altium. Zuken, Autodesk.
Among the supported Netlist formats are Quick View Connections (*.qcv) and OrCAD netlist (.dat). Contact us if you require support for an additional software.
The inspection run-time ranges from a few minutes to a few hours, depending on the complexity of the design.
The report is very concise, hence reviewing it should take up to 30 minutes.
The required input is only the Netlist and BOM files.
Since we perform automatic reading and comprehending of datasheets, there is no need for any manual insertion of data by the user.
No! The system adjusts for your specific formats and conventions after a quick on-boarding process.
Automatic reading and understanding of datasheet is a challenging task which requires complex models, it is expected that some of the findings will not be relevant. Naturally, our system is continuously improving.
If we don’t have a datasheet or we’re unable to automatically read it (a.k.a. an unsupported component), the inspection of the rest of the circuit still runs smoothly and provides exceptional value.
The report indicates which active components were inspected. This allows the user to know which parts of his/her circuit were inspected.
Currently we are a stand-alone tool which does not require integration with the CAD software.
Back-Annotations will be added in the future.
The output of the inspection is an instantly available interactive HTML report, which can also be downloaded.
Yes! We offer optional user-defined rules that can be selected or unselected in the Configuration page. Contact us if you have additional guidelines you would like us to implement.
Our solution is relevant to all circuits, but it has higher values in circuits that contain a significant digital part.
Since checking software or HDL is out of our scope, we don’t attempt to determine the actual used configuration. Instead, we parse from the datasheet all of the available options. If any of these options creates a valid circuit, we don’t alert (since if there is a problem it is not in the schematics). If none are valid, we will alert.
Currently we offer inspection of each individual board in the system, but not of the connection between the board.
Checking the connections as well is in our product roadmap for 2023.

We are fully aware of the sensitivity of the designs. This is why we are legally committed not to save the uploaded files in any manner. In addition, we designed the system with state-of-the-art security tools to ensure our servers are strictly protected (see IP and Security page for more details).
Currently CADY is cloud-based. The uploaded data is not saved and the servers are strictly protected (see IP and Security page for more details).
